This is my final submission for the Fantasy Appliance project. I actually had a lot of fun playing around with techniques and textures. The final background really plays off of my attempt to combine organic and mechanical elements as well as a prehistoric dinosaur theme. On the left there is a metal texture swirling into view separated from the forest by a ripped piece of paper. I added a dino foot to the lamp to tie in the head of the lamp to the base. Finally, I textured the entire image with a rough, cracked, overlay to tie it all together and further push the prehistoric look.
