Open Project- Progress 1

My idea for the first project is a photography based collage style piece. Later today I will post some of the images I have collected for this project. I hope to create something provocative and poetic with images of people and places close to me perhaps paired with drawings and pieces of writing. I'm unsure what layout I will use but I'm going to try different things.

Destroy The icon- Progress 2

This is my first progress image. I'm really enjoying watching the image fall apart. My thought process involves making a beast out of an icon of beauty. I want my final result to be chaotic and destructive. I'd appreciate feedback on how to further distance this image from the original icon. Any ideas on background creation? I'm aiming for a Dave McKean type of look. Edit: I included a second version of the base image

The Cyclical Nature of Things- Progress 4

Here are a couple versions adding another photo I took and mirroring the scene on top to the bottom. My project in one word is "reclaim".
